That should do the trick:

/sbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 gw 1.1.1.1 eth0
where you have to replace 1.1.1.1 with the internal IP address of your router (gateway).

Setting explicitly a route for all unknown connections to your gateway (which should know, where the rest of your net is ).
